Name change ideas!
I am getting tired of the name of this blog, I have been thinking about changing it to Caroline Can Draw like I did the web address. Thoughts? Any other suggestions? It can be excruciating to think of things for promoting myself as an artist. I can for my husband and do quite easily, but for myself, that is a totally different story. I don't want others to know me other than what I produce as an artist. I am trying to break out of that here with asking for help. So please, comment with your ideas.

All three shells together.
Final three shells. Bottom one I surprised myself in drawing it in one night. I did darken the top one and added more salt to the background to the second one.
I liked this more than I had expected I am thinking about doing more for myself since my family and I love the beach.
Close up of the third shell.

Shell #2
Shell number 2 completed. Top is how it is intended to be displayed, bottom is the angle from which I did draw it. Funny how things change like that once you complete a piece.

Shell #1
One shell totally done. I am not the best at watercolor so the idea of using it on top of this drawing was giving me a panic attack. Making mistakes is all part of art, but it sucks when you make a major mistake on something you were attached to. So far so good. It gives it a nice effect, much nicer in person than in a photo. But isn't that true about all art? Except digital but we won't go there.

Slowly coming along. Art takes time!
Looks better tonight then it did last night, but the bee study is coming along.
Not the best lighting, I didn't get to taking this one during the day but I kinda like the effect it has on this one. Getting close to finishing this and then I will start on the second one in this series.
Fixed this one. Not sure if you can tell but I darkened the baby a little more just to help it "pop" more. It has been on my mind for months now on what to do to fix this and finally I had enough guts to try and I am satisfied. Offering prints of this one for anyone who is interested.

Bee Study
Bee study, I love bees, this is one just for me, I have the body blocked in so far, going to add some color to this one and frame it for my next place.
How is this one turning out? I know you are looking at this but nobody is giving me feedback! My kids tell me they like it but they are my "yes men" who adore me. I keep looking at the shirt and I hate it and almost cut this up last week. Instead I put it away and decided to take a break from it. This is a labor of love for this picture. I want to keep going and finish it finally and start on the next one. Until then I will keep drawing. Gotta do shells and a portrait for someone next.

Shell number 1
Shell drawing for a client and I had some fun with it in photoshop. Nothing major just color added for a little vibrancy. The black and white version turned out pretty nice for just a study. Now back to drawing.
